Laghi Alimini

The Lakes Aliminis are two mirrors of water of lengthened form and parallel to the line of the coast. The vegetation includes the straw of swamp, the falasco and the bristly carice. Alimini Grande is surrounded by a rocky crown, while in the vast line northerner said Swamp Traugnano, the presence of the rare Periploca is signalled graeca. The part North is cultivated and appears bare and stormed of "specchie"; the south-western side, reforested in the years '50, are currently a reserve faunistico-venatoria. The south-oriental part, oasis of protection, is today, instead characterized by the sharp pain vegetation of the Mediterranean stain, and from the rare heather pugliese. Toward South, Alimini Grande tightens him up to connect to the lake Fontanelle (Alimini Piccolo); here the landscape introduces a modest rocky relief that coasts along the lake and in which open some shelters of the primitive man. Fontanelle is surrounded by marshy vegetation and his/her sweet waters they entertain the orchid of swamp, the chestnut of water and the grass bladder, only carnivorous plant of the flora pugliese. The lakes are ideal habitat for coots, moriglioni, real German, anatidi generally, sea crows, herons and gulls.
