The Sea

The most beautiful beaches in Salento

The Salento, with its white, sun-drenched beaches and unspoilt natural paradises, has become the most visited and loved seaside area by tourists in recent years. Dominated by the winds, the choice of beach is determined by their blowing: the "hot" Sirocco favours the Adriatic coast, particularly Torre dell'Orso. The Ponente favours the Santa Maria di Leuca area. The Tramontana, the wind of our land, favours the Jonian coast.

Due Sorelle Beach

You get to the white, sandy beach through a thick pine forest. The beach of Torre dell'Orso with its crystal clear sea is famous for the presence in the middle of the sea of two stacks, called "The two sisters", which an ancient legend says are like two women enchanted by the beauty of this stretch of sea. The gods decided to turn them into two rocks so that they could remain there forever.
